Leybold Piston Ring are fixed into the grooves of the piston to maintain a good seal between the piston and the cylinder wall to prevent the loss of gases and power. It Transferres heat from the piston to the cylinder wall for cooling purpose and it controlles oil consumption by lubricating the piston and moves excess oil back to the sump.
